Sam has come home with the most unusual of, what he hopes will be, pets.

But when it comes to asking if he can keep his new found friend, his mother tells him a resounding “No”.

But Sam wants a pet so much. A friend to talk to and play with.

Sam’s week becomes filled with worry and concern for his new friend who is now taking secret residence in the cellar. Sam does not know what to do or what to tell his parents who are far too busy with household chores and normal everyday business at his Dad’s office.

The weekend arrives and Sam has to leave his companion in the cellar for the day.

It gets late, daytime is turning into night, and noises are heard from the house and they are NOT Sam or the family.

What could they be?
